President and founder, Scott Tenhulzen, was raised in Redmond, Washington, in a family with strong roots in the construction industry. Son of Pat and Jack Tenhulzen, founders of Tenhulzen Remodeling, Scott gained hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and high level of business integrity at a very young age. Scott started "Tenhulzen Painting" in 2000 while he was in college. What started as a part-time college endeavor had grown into one of the most successful and respected painting companies in the Seattle area. Years later, Scott and his team noticed that painting was becoming much more than applying a flawless finish. They were running into serious issues with the way homes were built, waterproofed, trimmed and more. The job of a painter is to perfect what has been done, but this was going beyond final touches. In order to uphold the Tenhulzen quality promise from start to finish, Scott expanded the company with a remodeling division. Following the same precision, passion, and strict procedures the company was founded on, Tenhulzen Construction has been growing ever since.
