DESCRIPTION:As part of Snohomish County’s emergency response to the recent flooding\, the County Executive has authorized a flood voucher program to support impacted residential households. The program allows for the waiving of disposal fees for flood-damaged household materials at County solid waste facilities. The initial 30-day program will run through Sunday\, January 18\, 2026.  \nVouchers must be filled out completely upon arrival to the site. Acceptable items include carpets\, mattresses\, clothes\, furniture\, water-soaked plasterboard\, appliances (no refrigerators or freezers) and small amounts of household hazardous waste. Vouchers will not cover wood waste\, yard debris\, rocks or soils\, concrete or demolition debris\, or animal carcasses. Customers may bring multiple loads but must have one voucher per load. \nVouchers can be obtained at the locations listed on this page. The list is subject to change.

As a single mother raising four children\, I felt that struggle deeply. There were years when gifts were few\, and Christmas morning felt uncertain. \nThen one year\, I realized the greatest gift I could give wasn’t under a tree — it was the gift of giving when you have little to give.That year\, Cans for Christmas was born. \nMy sister (who was living with us at the time)\, my children\, and I began collecting aluminum cans\, recycling them for cash\, and using the proceeds to make someone else’s Christmas brighter. In 2013\, with the help of neighbors\, friends\, and local businesses\, we raised over $300 and spent Christmas Day serving dinner and playing games with the youth at Cocoon House. \nA small start grew into something beautiful — and now\, many years later\, we’re bringing it back. \nIt became one of my favorite Christmases. \nNow\, years later\, it’s time to bring Cans for Christmas back—and we’d love for you to be part of it! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThank you for helping to bring hope & joy to the lives of others! \n\n\n\n\n\n\nCatherine M. These valentines will be sent to troops within the US and abroad. \nWe will have a valentines box and coloring crayons for hotel and event guests who would like to participate with us. \nWe are ALSO a Snohomish County drop off location! \nIf you personally\, any of your staff\, or as a business want to participate\, I’d be happy to partner with you and collectively pool our community resources together to collect valentine’s for the troops! \nLast year we had guests who shared with family and had family members mail in valentine’s from back home. \nThis is a great way to show up for our troops and be representatives of the Snohomish County community! \nNot to mention… this year is America’s 250th Birthday! \nI want to challenge us to go BIG this year!
