Professionally, I have been in fitness industry for 10 years. I have been a NASM certified personal trainer 7 of those years. I believe in changing habits through education for clients so not only will they obtain their fitness goals but they will be able to sustain those goals for the rest of their lives. I believe the process should be fun and that one should look at health and wellness as a commitment to lifestyle changes and not as a cool thing to do because a celebrity is promoting it.
Personally, I am from Wai’anae, Hawai’i. I moved to Seattle, WA when I was 21, where I still currently reside. I enjoy art, music, reading, sports, photography and videography, science, fitness (obviously), comic books, and movies. I have a degree in digital filmmaking and production along with certifications in personal training, sports performance, and nutrition.
Snohomish County’s largest full- service Athletic Club, featuring indoor and outdoor tennis courts, swimming pools, 3 group exercise studios, free-weight room, cardio & strength training equipment, Hot Yoga studio, Kids Club, preschool, and full gymnasium. We offer personal training, nutritional counseling, massage, and programs for all ages.
The Zone is one of the most powerful tools an athlete has. It’s that sweet spot between intense focus and flowing in a familiar pattern and rhythm of our sport.
We here at CrossFunction Sports Recovery get The Zone! Our Recovery Team has participated in many sport endeavors; some being Olympic hopeful athletes, world stage competitors, Olympic Powerlifting Coaches, High School Coaches, and Elite Coaches. We are all Movement Specialists.
We have ice bathed, foam rolled, stretched, worked out, sweat, toiled, and practiced countless hours of visualization. We believe in the best. We believe in world-class. We believe in striving for excellence.
CrossFunction Sports Recovery recognizes six zones that were essential to injury prevention and recovery. They are based upon preventative techniques of calming down the nervous system, building stabilizing muscles, developing balance, receiving manual therapy, re-establishing rhythm, and mentally rejuvenating through team participation and encouragement. Collectively, these elements encompass the full meaning of optimal recovery.
We wanted to have a relaxing sports atmosphere where one can get in their recovery zone with their personal goals in mind. Using a simple rotation model and video-led programming, we aim to be a world-class sports recovery center that is accessible to anyone; whether that be the weekend warrior, professional athlete, hobbyist, or desk jockey.
Who We Are
The Y is a cause-driven organization focused on three key areas: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We believe a strong community can only be achieved when we invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors. Our programs, services, and initiatives enable youth to realize their potential, offer families ways to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster social responsibility.
Here in Snohomish County, the Y has been serving and strengthening our communities since 1901. We’ve been here through economic booms and busts, wartime and peace, and social upheavals both subtle and life-changing. Our movement is made up of people of all ages and from every walk of life, all working side-by-side to ensure that everyone, regardless of gender, income or background, has the opportunity to live life to its fullest.
Our Character Development
We value caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility, and everything we do stems from this. Our staff and volunteers are kids, parents, grandparents, neighbors, and local leaders who are all personally committed to understanding what our neighborhoods need. Together, we use our knowledge to develop stronger, more integrated communities, provide support for people and families, and promote positive change overall.
To inspire, nurture, and strengthen culturally vibrant communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
The YMCA was founded in London in 1844. Since then, the Y has grown into an organization serving communities all over the world. Learn more about the history of the Y at www.ymca.net/history.
