Safeway Grand Re-Opening 

The community is invited for Wednesday, May 1 at 4pm - 16304 Bothell Everett Highway

Please come and enjoy a festive ribbon cutting, various samplings from local vendors and Safeway OWN brand products and free localized reusable bags*. The first 100 customers will receive a bag of free groceries and five lucky customers at the ribbon cutting will have a chance to win a $300 Safeway Gift Card*.

The Mill Creek Safeway’s new design upgraded all the store’s specialty departments and added some exciting new features:

  • an expanded produce department will include an abundant variety of organic and locally-grown produce, as well as a fresh cut fruit and vegetable center;
  • a deluxe deli that includes made-to-order pho, sushi, rice bowls, and sizzling wok meals, as well as ready-made sandwich choices, expanded cheese case, soup bar and wing bar;
  • a brand-new artisan pizza station will serve hot fresh pizza made to order;
  • an enhanced meat and seafood department with local, natural, organic and specialty offerings:
  • full-service bakery that offers vast variety of freshly baked artisan breads, bagels and pastries; as well as handcrafted cakes and decadent desserts for any occasion; including custom photo cakes;
  • a premium wine, beer & spirits department with a plentiful selection of local choices;
  • an abundant floral department with a full-serve kiosk;
  • a Starbucks kiosk with a large indoor seating area;
  • Drive up & Go Grocery Pickup Service
  • Online ordering and store to door Safeway dot.com delivery service

 

The Mill Creek Safeway employs 90 people and is managed by Mike Schroeder, who has been with the company for 39 years.

The community celebrations begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4pm, the store will honor local community champions, Friends of Youth, members of Henry Jackson High School and recognize a long-time Mill Creek Safeway employee whose experience working at the store totals nearly four decades!

Jackson High School’s robotics Team 2910 Jack In The Bot clinched the FIRST Washington Pacific Northwest Championship and are headed to Houston, TX for the national competition April 16-21.  Great job!!!

Wingert Insurance Agency has been a proud supporter of Toys For Tots for the past 6 years, and collectively has donated well over 2000 toys to children and families local to Snohomish County.

Unable to make the event; we are an approved collection drop off location, and will be accepting your new, unwrapped toys at Wingert Insurance Agency thru December 13th. Toys of all ages 0-18 are accepted, with a greater need for infants and teenagers.
